I will reread "Territory," the opening story of Poul Anderson's The Technic Civilization Saga, Volume II, David Falkayn: Star Trader, but will not repeat information already imparted in earlier posts. See the above links. We can expect to find more memorable details.

Saga, Vol II comprises, in this order:

the second of the three stories previously collected as Trader To The Stars;

the third of the three stories previously collected as The Trouble Twisters;

the ninth of the twelve works previously collected as The Earth Book Of Stormgate;

the third story from Trader To The Stars;

the novel, Satan's World, previously published as a single volume;

the eighth and tenth works from the Earth Book.

Thus, the van Rijn collection, Trader To The Stars, and the Falkayn collection, The Trouble Twisters, are complete and the Earth Book is nearly complete. The Polesotechnic League will have its grand finale, swan song and sunset in the first half of Vol III (of VII) of The Technic Civilization Saga. I have said it before but this is a very substantial future history series.

Kaor, Paul!

Interestingly, "Territory" begins with a bit of music scoring. I don't know that kind of writing, so I can't comment on it. Yet, again, in "Territory" we see both humor and serious problems which need to be solved. With Old Nick again confounding all expectations.
