Today
Today, London. Back late. We hope to influence the future of civilization by demonstrating against racism spreading across Europe. I lack Dominic Flandry's ability to fly into a capital city and solve such a problem single handed. We can only contribute to a colorful crowd scene in our capital city. No doubt Intelligence agents operate behind the scenes. I will not take The Technic Civilization Saga, Vol VI, to read on the coach but will look at Motorway scenery and converse or meditate. No more blogging today except maybe late but I hope that 13 posts with 405 page views yesterday gave food for thought, including the modjo fruit. Glory to humanity.

Kaor, Paul!
I don't think all who are being accused of "racism" (whatever that much abused word means) are actual racists. Rather they see their countries going down ways they don't like. Nor do I think it's wrong to oppose indiscriminate, unlimited immigrants, including untold numbers of Muslims too many of whom are hostile and contemptuous of Christians, Jews, and the best ideas and beliefs of the West.

Sean,
"Racism" definitely means something. It covers at least antisemitism and racism of skin color. Both have been virulent in the past and certainly still exist. One Lancaster Muslim that I know is very antisemitic. I met some Polish people in Manchester who "knew" that no black person was any good. My mother was brought up in the West of Ireland to believe that black people were inferior. In London, I heard of a black man, handcuffed in a police station, who lost consciousness, breathed heavily and irregularly and then died while the policemen present made no effort to give him any medical assistance but apparently regarded his condition as unimportant or even comical. An inquest concluded that he was "unlawfully killed." A disproportionately large number of black people have died in police custody. Xenophobic political parties are gaining votes and influence in Europe.
Maybe differences between human beings will come to seem less important if and when we meet ETs but meanwhile official society could treat minorities and foreigners a lot better than it does at present.
Paul.
Sean,
"Fascism" is the term that is frequently misused although it has a specific meaning despite the misuse.
