The Technic Civilization Saga, Volume I,
Earth Book instalments are seven out of eleven. In Volume II, they are three out of seven and, in Volume III, they are two out of six. So they kind of peter out. But nevertheless they comprise exactly half of the instalments in Volumes I-III. Also, the Ythrian connection continues in Volume IV and is finally mentioned one last time, by Dominic Flandry, in Volume VII. The
Earth Book remains a major part of the Technic History even when its contents have been dispersed through three of the seven omnibus volumes. It is getting late here and I have no idea what tomorrow will bring.

Another way of putting it is that THE EARTH BOOK is a major collecting of some of the Technic stories. There were, after all, earlier and later collectings of some or all of the Technic tales. E.g., I happen to be rereading at least the first stories in the 1965 Chilton Books edition of AGENT OF THE TERRAN EMPIRE.
I could tell that the original versions of "Tiger by the Tail," "Warriors from Nowhere," and "Honorable Enemies" were early Anderson stories!
