"The Lodestar Shines..."

The Man Who Counts, XIV.

For a summary of the Battle of Mannenach, see War On Diomedes.

That saying, "'The Lodestar shines for no single nation,'" (p. 235) is the message of the Book of Jonah. The prophet is reluctant to preach to foreigners, then annoyed when God forgives the foreigners because they have heeded the preaching! And the message of the Book of Ruth is that a foreigner was an ancestress of David.

"The Lodestar shines for no single nation..."

Kaor, Paul!

The book of Jonah is one of my favorite parts of the OT. Not only is God shown showing mercy even to the hated Assyrians but we also see Him having a sense of humor!

Ad astra! Sean
