CS Lewis's Elwin Ransom quoted in Imaginary Science?
Poul Anderson's Erannda quoted in Chance-Formed, Impotent And Foredoomed
What is wrong with these guys? Scientists labor to learn the nature of the universe and this devalues the universe? Meanwhile, most of us prefer knowledge to ignorance.
See After Such Knowledge.

Kaor, Paul!
Christian scientists and philosophers might have argued with Erranda that God acted thru chance and evolution, respecting his own laws that He imbued into the universe at the Creation or Big Bang. Anderson believed in IS THERE LIFE ON OTHER WORLDSD? and "Delenda Est" that the Christian belief in the lawfulness of God was an important reason why a true science arose in the West. That belief, allied to post-Roman Medieval pragmatism helped science to arise.
Ad astra! Sean
Sean,
Christian scientists, of course, are different from Christian Scientists!
Paul.
Kaor, Paul!
Ha! You saw that too! I wondered if anybody else would have thought of those two very different groupings!
Ad astra! Sean
