Blog Central Update

Blog posts might be slightly more frequent than usual because:

it is illegal for us to leave home except for food shopping, medical appointments or exercise;

we are over seventy, therefore more at risk from the virus, so our daughter shops for us;

currently, it is snowing heavily - the image shows Lancaster in the snow.

Sheila knits and I blog with the TV on low for news and background interest. My evening rereading of Stieg Larsson's Millennium Trilogy, Volume III, has been interrupted by receipt of a present. (See A New Genre?) Daytime rereading of Poul Anderson's The Earth Book Of Stormgate is generating many more new posts than I would have thought was possible.

Onward, Earthlings!

Kaor, Paul!

I would hope you can at least walk about your back yard, and get some air that way.

Hope the snow won't be too much of a nuisance.

Another thought I had is about he Oxford vaccine for preventing coronavirus. Isn't it now ready to be distributed and administered to first responders and people like you and your wife?

Sean,

It is a very small yard! But it is a rare day when we do not step outside.

The vaccine is not quite with us yet but it should be on its way.

Paul.

At least you can get out of the house for a little bit, using even a small back yard.

I hope the Oxford vaccine will be soon distributed and used.

Sean,

It is very icy out there. I tiptoed a short distance and came straight back.

Paul.

I know what you mean! I sometimes go for walks in winter, but not when it is excessively cold.

Bloody cold here, and more snow than is usual -- 4 times a year is normal here, and it's been six times in December alone.

Kaor, Mr. Stirling!

I assume you mean New Mexico? So far there has not been much snow here in MA. Plenty cold, however!
