"A Sweeter Draught..."

See "Would God I Were..."

"Now there's a choice - heartache or tortured liver!"

See here, although, since this is a page from A Companion To Twentieth-Century Poetry, I do not know how to identify the original poem.

"A sweeter draught than ye will ever taste, I ween."

For the second time, Google has given me only the text of Operation Luna.

So that completes my attempted analysis of the mysterious spell beginning, "Would God I were...," and now I must hasten to Dalton Square for an event but should be back here later.

Kaor, Paul!

It's possible this was a verse originally written by Anderson himself, not a quote from another writer's works.

Ad astra! Sean
