A Midsummer Tempest, v.
(The image is a Shakespearean sonnet.)
Jennifer spontaneously speaks a Shakespearean-style sonnet. See A Midsummer Tempest IV.
Will has remained faithful and enlists Jennifer's aid to rescue Rupert. He compares himself to Tom o' Bedlam and hints at supernatural allies of "'...tha Oald Way.'" (p. 34)
Of course, they rhyme:
Jennifer:
"'So be it, Will Fairweather, blessed man!
"'Quick, tell me how I may fulfill thy plan.'"
Will:
"'Let's go inzide the church to talk o' this,
"'That none may see us an' think aught amiss.'
"'At best, tha road we tread be dangerous
"'To England an' to Rupert an' to us.'" (p. 37)

Kaor, Paul!
What is next after A MIDSUMMER TEMPEST? I happen to be rereading THREE HEARTS AND THREE LIONS before the other book, because Holger Carlsen cameos in MIDSUMMER.
Ad astra! Sean
Sean,
Maybe THREE HEARTS... and the "Operation..." story in MULTIVERSE.
Paul.
Kaor, Paul!
Good, I've reached Chapter 4 in THREE HEARTS. Will check out the "OPERATION" story in MULTIVERSE.
And I really hope Stirling will someday be able to write that Flandry pastiche he said he would love to do! Makes me wonder if he even has some plot ideas for such a story?
Ad astra! Sean
Sean,
Someone reading the blog might know the answer.
Paul.
Kaor, Paul!
I hope so, it would be good to see a second MULTIVERSE.
