In 6, the dry food hanging in a tineran caravan includes "maufry." (p. 117) I cannot find this word anywhere although it forms part of "gallimaufry," which can mean a kind of stew. The food also includes "dragon apples," (ibid.) which I am also having trouble finding.
In 8, Ivar's hunting garb includes a "...sun-visored burnoose." (p. 133)
"Plume trava nodded white above mossy chromabyron; spearflies darted silver-bright..." (p. 134)
Invented names of Aenean organisms are incorporated into the text as if we were already familiar with them. We read an authentic-sounding account of a planetary environment.
