"Sargasso of Lost Starships."
Poul Anderson writes:
"'So -' Donovan spoke softly..." (p. 413)
- then, after a comma, immediately adds:
"...and the wind whimpered under his voice." (ibid.)
The wind is Anderson's Greek chorus, always commenting on the action. At one point, it even whips Dahut.
My advice to any Poul Anderson fan:
start a blog;
reread Anderson;
publish short posts to discuss passages in Anderson's texts as you read them.
Your thoughts will not be mine. You will agree where I disagree or vice versa. But you will find that there is more than enough content in the texts to keep you going for a very long time.

Kaor, Paul!
But I already do PLENTY of agreeing and disagreeing with you in this blog! Also, I seriously doubt I would be as AWESOMELY prolific as you are! And I also thank you, yet again, for letting be your guest here. You and your blog has given enormous pleasure and Stirlingian banquets for thought.
