Exam question: "In Poul Anderson's History of Technic Civilization, there is often a connection between the name of a fictional star and the names of its planets." Discuss, citing examples from at least three novels.
This is not a full answer:
Babur ("Tiger") founded the Mughal Empire so there is a star, Mogul, with a planet, Babur. Viewing the tawny globe of Babur with its bands and swirls of white clouds tinged gold, brown or pale red, David Falkayn considers it appropriate that the human discoverer of the planet named it after a conqueror remembered in India as "the Tiger."
These names also remind us of Indian restaurants. There is a Moghuls in Lancaster and a Babur in London.
A full answer would also refer to the Saxonian, Virgilian and Patrician Systems.
