Orion is 80 kilometers from Tyonek which is on Cook Inlet (For the inlet, see the image. For Tyonek, see the previous post);
living quarters are more comfortable and healthier than most above ground;
interior decoration has become a folk art;
there are places for meetings, games, sports, hobbies and celebrations;
there is a good school and library;
meals are in mess halls but superior;
people go out to hike, climb, ski, hunt, fish, boat, picnic or visit Sitka;
some individuals like Ronica come and go whereas others like her parents supply or support Orion but need never visit it;
mail is censored;
most cannot leave the area until Orion rises;
most children of staff grow up to work on the project;
those who do not must nevertheless stay and will be compensated or can sue later;
no one has yet tried to escape;
the project must be completed before the enemy, inevitably, finds it.
