Back To Uppsala

(Uppsala Cathedral.)

I need something long to reread in the evenings when I want a break from blogging-related rereading so I have returned to Stieg Larsson's Millennium Trilogy which, with its early mention of Uppsala, recalls that city as it is referenced both in this Trilogy and in Poul Anderson's works. See here. It remains to be seen whether any further Anderson-Larsson links emerge this time but, if any do, they will not be tonight. Good night - or good morning depending on where you are in the world.

Kaor, Paul!

You like to read or reread something long every night which is not related to what you are talking about on the blog. Besides the works of Stieg Larsson I can think of books by many other writers you might try out. One of JRR Tolkien's stories maybe (because I think you can find unexpected subtleties in them(, a mystery by Dorothy L. Sayers, or one of the stand alone novels of S.M. Stirling. Or something by Pournelle, Niven, or Heinlein. But you don't need a long list from me!

Ad astra! Sean
