Midwinter Midnight

On a midwinter midnight, Forsquilis takes Dahut out of Ys to overlook the sea and watch the sky. She says that the Gods made Dahut for a purpose possibly hidden even from Themselves. The Gallicenae's powers are almost completely faded and are no longer taught to vestals. It is clear that the Age of Brennilis is ending and it is reasonable for Ysans to look for a changed covenant.

Forsquilis chants:

"'- Oneness. All is one and one is all.'"
-Poul and Karen Anderson, Gallicenae, Chapter XI, section 4, p. 366.

I agree.

Kaor, Paul!

And I disagree! (Smiles) God is the Infinitely Transcendent Other and, logically, merely created beings like us cannot BE God. However, Christianity teaches that God so loved His creatures He sent His Son to be like us in all ways except sin and evil. And that the salvation offered us by Christ ends with those who persevere in becoming adopted children of God. No NEED to lose our individualities!
