draug (scroll down)
"Draug" is not a name but I thought that "Druig" was "Draun," then "Draug."
Draun is an Avalonian Ythrian in Poul Anderson's The People Of The Wind. Druig is a superhero in the Marvel Comics superhero team, the Eternals, and is top left in the attached image.
I noticed Druig because he is played by Barry Keoghan, a guy from Dublin, who looks like the sort of guy that I might have met had I been in the Republic and in Dublin more recently than I was.
I have just reread The People Of The Wind to the point where it is mentioned that Tabitha Falkayn's business partner is called Draun. All the confusion about names came back and I have had to google to get them straight. There is no imaginable connection between Druig and Draun except that some of us see the first and read about the second. Now I might remember which is which.

Names can be confusing. More confusing is the fact that in most cultures, names have meanings -- Alfred means "Friend of the Elves" in Old English, for example. Modern English names are unsual in that they're just arbitrary sounds.
Kaor, Mr. Stirling!
True, esp. with the fanciful new names being coined these days by parents which are just arbitrary noises with no meanings.
I at least know Biblical names like John/Sean/Ivan or Michael came from Hebrew and do have meanings.
Ad astra! Sean
Sean: yeah, like Jeremey comes from a term meaning "May Jehovah Exalt".
Kaor, Mr. Stirling!
And also the name of one of your characters in TO TURN THE TIDE.
Ad astra! Sean
