In "Territory," van Rijn operates off Earth, as in the previous volume.
In "The Trouble Twisters," van Rijn founds his first trade pioneer crew/trader team and it completes its first mission.
In "Day of Burning," we see the trader team without van Rijn.
In "The Master Key," we see van Rijn without the trader team.
In Satan's World, the trader team encounters a problem that obliges it to contact and involve van Rijn.
"A Little Knowledge" presents problems elsewhere in the Polesotechnic League.
In "Lodestar," the problems within the League cause a conflict between van Rijn and his trader team.
Thus, seven works, each complete in itself, build up to an unexpected climax.

Kaor, Paul!
Yes, but Falkayn was not happy about how he behaved as regards the discovery of Mirkheim. He thought of it as a betrayal of his oath of fealty to Old Nick.
Ad astra! Sean
