Operation Luna.
One pleasure of reading a series is recognizing continuing supporting characters like, in the goetic universe, FBI Agent Bob Shining Knife whose arrival is as significant to the Matucheks as it is to us:
"...yes, yonder, unmistakable, Bob Shining Knife...
"The sight of his tall, rangy form bright with painted patterns where breechclout or medicine blanket did not cover him, the craggy features surmounted by a bonnet of eagle feathers, brought memories of last time across the years like a fist." (6, p. 55)
And we remember reading Operation Chaos.
Although we had not expected the return of Shining Knife, it makes sense when the Matucheks are again involved in events warranting FBI attention and, in this fictional universe, it is appropriate that an Agent wears feathers and body paint:
"The FBI requires every agent to have a degree in either sorcery or accounting." (p. 58)
Thus, Shining Knife's colleague, Jack Moy, has concentrated on "'...Far Eastern talismatics and geomancy." (ibid.)

Kaor, Paul!
And I also got the impression Steve thought of accounting as being close to sorcerous! (Smiles)
Ad astra! Sean
