Adam Te Dageram

A Midsummer Tempest, xxi.

Rupert writes with a ferrule:

"'Adam Te Dageram, Amrtet Algar Algastna -'" (p. 191)

These words appear in an etching by Rembrandt. See the attached image, although only a few letters are legible. The etching is discussed and the words are partly explained here. There is a fuller account here. Let me leave this esoteric subject there.

Kaor, Paul!

And what I thought was how the OPERATION books mentioned languages such as Latin, Hebrew, Sanskrit, etc., were considered esp. appropriate to use while doing magic.

Prince Rupert was a very busy young man and soldier, but he apparently made the effort to learn Latin.

Ad astra! Sean
