People, Places And Planets

Van Rijn interviews or entertains in:

The Djakarta Office
Captain Rafael Torres, announcing a boycott.
Master Merchant David Falkayn, to lead a trader team.

The Kilimanjaro Mansion
Fellow merchant princes.

"Modest Little" Penthouse, Winged Cross, Chicago Integrate
Emil Dalmady, from Suleiman.
Per Stenvik, from Cain.
David and Coya Falkayn, before Coya joins the trader team.

We begin to acquire a sense of fictional place.

The previous post completed a line of thought that had started with David Falkayn, apprentice, and ended with speculation about Avalon in the further future. This was because the Falkayn narrative had converged with narratives about Ythrians, starting with "Wings of Victory," and about Avalon, starting with "The Problem of Pain."

The Technic History grew but reads as if it had been planned long term.

Kaor, Paul!

The comedy of Old Nick calling his magnificently palatial penthouse "modest" and "litle" has stuck with me!
