Poul Anderson, Satan's World IN Anderson, David Falkayn: Star Trader (Riverdale, NY, 2010), pp. 329-598.
Falkayn has risen at every stage in his sub-series of the Technic History:
apprentice;
journeyman factor;
(young) Master Merchant Polesotechnic League;
trader team leader;
now "confidential associate" (p. 330) of Nicholas van Rijn.
He is on Luna, "...newly arrived from the outermost bourn of known space..." (ibid.)
Thus, the name of Larry Niven's future history series is used in Anderson's main future history series. I think that we will find more points to note when rereading Satan's World.
Falkayn is with: "The girl who called herself Veronica..." (p. 329), in other words a commercial spy.

Kaor, Paul!
It's almost CERTAINLY the case that Poul Anderson used "known space" in this way with Larry Niven's Known Space stories in mind.
