An Opera For Man

In Poul Anderson's "How To Be Ethnic In One Easy Lesson," which opera is appropriate for the Festival of Man? The Opera Company board decrees that:

Carmen is too spatiotemporally parochial;
Alpha of the Centaur is about space travel whereas the Festival needs pre-space travel input;
La Traviata is too unvisual;
Gotterdamerung is mythically significant and visual but a modern audience would require realistic effects that would distract from the live performers.

However, Adzel resembles Fafner and sings well.

Solution: allow this alien visitor to express his appreciation of Terrestrial culture and thus to glorify humanity by getting Adzel to play Fafner! Unexpected yet appropriate.

Kaor, Paul!

I've also thought that by having Adzel paly Fafnir, that would LESSEN the whiff of xenophobia I agree could be sniffed in the Festival of Man.
