Before Juanita's birth, they had had:

So Coya had joined the trade pioneer crew about eight years before the outbreak of the Babur crisis in Mirkheim, I? Near enough. The Prologue section in which Coya is about to start pioneering is dated Y minus 9.
A granddaughter of David and Coya named Avalon:
"'...when he'd decided this was the place to go...'"

Assuming the shortest possible period of time, three-year-old Juanita has become old enough to have a daughter capable of naming a planet "Avalon" between the end of Mirkheim and the decision to found the colony.

Meaning Avalon might have been colonized about 40 years after the events in MIRKHEIM? That's cutting it a bit close for David Falkayn to have the time needed to be the founder of the colony. Technic antisenescence could extend human lifespans and good health only till about age 100-110.
Of course an active and able man can still do a lot in ten to 20 years. And the colony might have been founded somewhat earlier.

No. In less than 20 years, Juanita can have a daughter who, within a few years, would be able to name Avalon.

Or David's granddaughter could have been his son Nicholas' daughter. But, let's say Juanita had a daughter around age 20, then that child would probably have to be about age 10 to be a fan of the Arthurian stories. That leads me to thinking Avalon was founded a minimum of 27 years after MIRKHEIM.
