Ensign Flandry, CHAPTER NINE.
For the fact that there are two conversations in this chapter, see Ensign Flandry, CHAPTER NINE.
For the conversation between Hauksberg and Abrams, see:
I wrote in "Hauksberg And Abrams" that the point of view (pov) of the dialogue is revealed at the end of p. 83 when we are told that Abrams realizes something about Hauksberg. However, before the conversation had started, we had been told on p. 82 that Abrams appreciated the Terran gravity in the Dronning Margrete, after Starkad, and often dreamed of flying. Thus, the pov, although not evident when the two men are speaking, is consistent throughout this passage.
For the setting of the conversation between Flandry and Persis, see:
For a later part of their dialogue, see Quick Learners.

Kaor, Paul!
That bit about Abrams having flying dreams because of Terran gravity made me think Terra's gravity was probably as much as Ythrians could endure and still fly. Much more than that, I have my doubts they could fly at all.
Ad astra! Sean
