The Continuing History

Genesis, PART ONE.

VI: 1700 years after Laurinda Ashcroft, the Worldguide intervenes to prevent human conflict in a ritualized society.

VII: One of the many duplicated Christian Brannock uploads enters into oneness with a planetary intelligence which continually communicates with other nodes throughout the galaxy.

VIII: Humanity degenerates.

IX: The intelligences protect Terrestrial life against:

asteroids;
comets;
radiation from supernovae, gamma ray bursters and colliding neutron stars; (See also here, scroll down.)
the close passage of another star;
humanly unimagined threats.

The Terrestrial intelligence manages:

quakes;
eruptions;
climate changes;
crustal grinding -

-then merely observes biological adaptations to such events.

Consciousness spreads and self-evolves.

Stars evolve.

The reader wonders what PART TWO might have to offer.

Kaor, Paul!

I remember the events of Part SIX of GENESIS, set in a society reminding me of Heian Japan, before it broke down into an era of contending warlords. The Worldguide was wrong to intervene as it did. Rightly or wrongly, foolishly or wisely, humans ALONE should decide their fates. The humans of Part SIX of GENESIS should have defied and ignored the Worldguide. Acquiescing to that interference by the Worldgide would lead to the despair and degeneration seen in Part EIGHT

Ad astra! Sean
