Another Mixed Ecology

See mixed ecologies here.

Near Admiral Sir Olaf Magnusson's home on Daedalus, the land has been terraformed with Terrestrial, Ythrian and Avalonian organisms:

grass
roses
hollyhocks
Buddha's cup (also here)
livewell
oaks
maples
braidwoods (see braidbark here)
etc

Beyond:

native leaves gleam green, without flowers;
wings, not of birds, shine in the evening light;
the setting sun spreads into an arc on this horizonless planet.

Kaor, Paul!

Despite reading the link to your explanation of the "horizonless planet" phenomenon, I admit find this difficult to grasp. As far a I can make out, a horizonless planet means a world where sunset never quite ends. You continue to see the sunset all night long.

And I'm probably getting this all wrong!

Sean,
And the sunset is spread all around the sky.

Kaor, Paul!

And that would have been a wondrous phenomenon to see!
