Entering the Cloud Universe while standing on the bridge of Jaccavrie, Dave Laure sees:
not dark but shining space;
nimbus;
thunderheads;
cliffs;
eddies;
streams;
every color;
mother-of-pearl;
shadows;
grottoes;
dull red reflecting nearby suns;
myriads of stars, ruby, ember, yellow, candent, green or blue;
some stars clear, a few tiny discs, most fuzzy glows;
mist engulfing dimming shimmers;
roiling formlessness.
He hears crackling noise, feels pulsing energies and remembers the Ginnungagap.

Kaor, Paul!
I have some doubts about how likely it would be for people thousands of years in the future and thousands of light years from Old Terra to be still familiar enough with Old Norse mythology that they could use words like "Ginnungagap."

Kaor, Sean!
One may have s9me doubts about that; on the other hand, there are people today who can make learned allusions to Sumerian mythology, which would probably have been impossible for any living human beings two hundred or so years ago, before modern archeology. So it’s possible that some people might still know Norse mythology thousands of years from now.
Best Regards,
Nicholas
Kaor, Nicholas!
I have to agree. After all, if I wish, I could make allusions to or quote from Penguin Books version of the Sumerian EPIC OF GILGAMESH, translated by N.K. Sandars. A text I have read!
