Starfarers, 49.
We have not seen the last of the Kith but almost. Their village on the Isle of Weyan on Harbor is the last abiding rendezvous for their ships. In the village, Kithish is spoken only in rites and ceremonies and has become a different dialect from the ship versions. One ship, possibly Fleetwing, approaches from the direction of Cassiopeia but becomes and remains undetectable which means that it has ceased to travel at near light speed and might therefore be yet another of the Kith vessels that have ceased to function. News of such losses occasionally reaches Harbor either by ship or by laser beam.
Nansen's campaign to invest resources in reviving interstellar travel is resisted by established economic interests which might even fund Seladorian missionaries.
Every page adds to the sense of long term historical changes.

Kaor, Paul!
Something went crucially wrong on 'Fleetwing,' an ancient part or device failed and could not be repaired/replaced. Dang!
Ad astra! Sean
