Time travel implications:
fanatics or freebooters want to change what happened in Jerusalem (have some succeeded without our realizing?);
researchers crowding in can change what happens;
temporal physics - multiple causes and effects make reality unstable as far away as barbarian Germany;
the Patrol is preoccupied with Palestine while a potential change begins in the North.
As long as a time traveller remains in the twentieth century, he has nothing to fear. However, while he is in a nexus period, he must heed the consequences of his actions. He might return to an altered twentieth century.
