However, we now have the technology that Manse Everard encountered in the Time Patrol Academy in the Oligocene and thought could be expected by about 2000 A.D.:

Now I'm wondering, what were some of the sources/reference works Anderson used for writing "Time Patrol" in 1953-54? I think the ENCYLOPAEDIA BRITANNICA was almost certainly one of them.
