"Invasion" seems too strong a word when all we actually see in "The Only Game in Town" and "Beringia" is a Mongol scouting expedition in the former and a defeated clan fleeing its enemies in the latter.

Yes. The Mongol invasion is prevented. It might have happened in a different timeline.
