Innocence lost is the theme of Poul Anderson's Time Patrol series. Is it also of his Psychotechnic History instalment, "Virgin Planet"? After three hundred years without men, the Atlantean women are naive enough to expect that a Man will be able to fertilize a Maiden in a cage in a town square watched by a crowd and the Prezden of Lysum asks whether he will take pleasure of her entire population in a single night.
Davis Bertram learns that a planet of women is not what he expected and the women learn that a Man is not a god so maybe "learning" is the basic theme?
Meanwhile, I am involved in (other kinds of) activities here. Laters.

Kaor, Paul!
While Davis Bertram's mishaps were humorous, Anderson was making serious points under the comedy.
Ad astra! Sean
