Ensign Flandry.
Despite her status as captain, shareholder and speaker, Dragoika lives not in the High Housing of the wealthy but:
"...in the ancient East Housing, on Shiv alley itself." (CHAPTER SIX, p. 52)
- which is full of memories ("ghosts") and of:
"'...too much stuff to move.'" (ibid.)
Give a lot to charity shops if they have any on Starkad!
Her stuff is:
furs
carpets
furnishings
books
weapons
bronze vases and candelabra
glass goblets
seashell souvenirs
plunder from across Starkad
The High Housing dwellings are each surrounded by hectares of trained jungle. Not gardens or lawns but jungle. Imagine this, an alien world, and how it would look on screen.

Kaor, Paul!
You may be missing something: Dragoika had a nostalgic affection for the house where she and her mothers had lived for generations. And some of that "stuff" would be family heirlooms and mementos she would be reluctant to part with. Their are plenty of people in the real world who feel the same way.
Ad astra! Sean
My remark about charity shops was entirely facetious and based on our current experience here!
Kaor, Paul!
I've done the same thing, discarding or donating to thrift shops items I don't really, truly need.
