Stars In Eridanus II

See Stars In Eridanus.

OK. Here is Epsilon Eridani and here is 82 G. Eridani, also known as e Eridani and not to be confused with Epsilon Eridani. Poul Anderson's point was obviously that they are easily confused. Both stars have exoplanets.

And, in Orbit Unlimited, both stars have been visited. Epsilon Eridani has no useful planets but e Eridani has Rustum. Although there are enormous obstacles to extra-solar colonization, conflicts on Earth can generate reasons for people to leave. Good comes from bad, sometimes.

Kaor, Paul!

And if Elon Musk successfully pioneers a REAL space program, it's my conviction that conflicts on Earth will drive religious and political malcontents to leave an oppressive Homeworld to settle elsewhere, so they could live as they believed best.
