A Circus Of Hells, CHAPTER ONE

A Circus Of Hells, CHAPTER ONE.

What is of note in this chapter:

Flandry is on Irumclaw which was mentioned in the previous volume;

his earlier electrocram in Eriau is practically applicable because he alone can interpret when the Merseians visit;

chairs are removed from the mess hall in deference to the guests - of course, Merseians squat on their tails;

Flandry meets Tachwyr for the second of three times in the series although it is more often than that in their off-stage careers;

Tachwyr says that the Terrans have been sold a dreadful brand of telloch but he likes skoksh;

Flandry reflects on the notorious Starkad affair but does not reveal any secrets to Tachwyr;

I have recently posted about Commander Abdullah and previously about whether Flandry gets Tachwyr's Vach right;

anything else?

Kaor, Paul!

I have commented before on how EXCELLENT I thought the opening paragraph of Chapter I was. It was a good example of a "teaser" paragraph designed to interest readers so much they would be willing to read further.

And Flandry warned Tachwyr that the Merseians should be careful while in Irumclaw Base Old Town. Because it could be dangerous there.

We also see mention of Merseians sometimes using stools, which I believe would be for tines when a Merseian wanted to sit for longer periods than would be convenient from using that tripod formed from their legs and tails.

Ad astra! Sean
