Ok. Ferune quoted the Rubaiyat here so now the blog is quoting it and this gives us yet another link to Neil Gaiman. Volume One of Gaiman's Black Orchid is entitled "One Thing Is Certain." See here.
Although Khayyam says, "Leave the wise...," I think that he sounds wise. Fitzgerald's translation of the Rubaiyat reminds me of Flecker's poetry.
