A Polesotechnic League Omnibus Collection would contain sixteen works, including three novels: one Nicholas van Rijn novel and two van Rijn and trader team novels. The collection would begin with a reference to Adzel while he is still a student on Earth and end with Adzel and Chee Lan, now retired from van Rijn's Solar Spice & Liquors Company, planning to protect their respective planets from the consequences of the decline of the Polesotechnic League.
At the end of the first story, Adzel recommends James Ching to a Master Merchant of the Polesotechnic League who needs an apprentice;
the second story introduces Master Merchant van Rijn;
the third introduces David Falkayn as an apprentice on Ivanhoe;
in the fourth story, Falkayn is a journeyman and factor in Solar Spice & Liquors;
in the fifth story, Juan Hernandez is an apprentice on another Ivanhoan continent;
the sixth, seventh, eighth and ninth installments feature van Rijn;
in the seventh installment, van Rijn promotes Emil Dalmady from factor to entrepreneur;
in the tenth installment, van Rijn forms the trader team of Falkayn, Adzel and Chee Lan;
in the eleventh installment, the trader team is instrumental in saving the planet Merseia, which will become prominent in post-League history;
the twelfth installment again features van Rijn, this time assessing the performance of Captain Per Stenvik;
in the thirteenth, fifteenth and sixteenth installments, van Rijn and the trader team come together amidst mounting problems for the Polesotechnic League;
the fourteenth installment also shows problems in the League and mentions van Rijn as a public figure.
The Polesotechnic League collection would be preceded by one very short Prologue volume of only three short stories and would be followed by:
an Avalon and Empire collection of four short stories and one novel;
three Flandry and Empire collections;
one After the Empire collection.
The Earth Book Of Stormgate begins with the second and third stories of the Prologue volume and ends with the first two stories in the Avalon and Empire collection.
The Ythrians:
are first contacted in the second Prologue story;
explore Avalon with their human assistants in the third Prologue story;
jointly colonize Avalonian islands with human beings in the first Avalon and Empire story;
jointly colonize the Avalonian continent in the second Avalon and Empire story;
defend Avalon against the Terran Empire in the Avalon and Empire novel.
The proposed Polesotechnic League collection is comparable to James Blish's Cities In Flight. Both show the economic basis, then the rise and decline, of an interstellar civilization.

Kaor, Paul!
I dunno, I like the idea of a one volume Polesotechnic League collection. But, wouldn't it be inconveniently awkward to handle for most people? I don't really care for e-books, but such a collection might make the most sense in that format.
Sean
Sean,
We can contemplate the contents of such a collection even if we can't handle it!
Paul.
Sean,
The Polesotechnic League would make sense as 2 vols of 8 installments each.
Paul.
