We mentioned Good Friday here and here and Easter Sunday here.
We quoted Poul Anderson on a heathen response to Easter here.
We compared James Blish's Black Easter and its sequel to Poul and Karen Anderson's The King Of Ys here.
(The British Science Fiction Convention always took place over Easter weekend. Someone said that the obvious title for a Con report was "Black Easter.")
The Buddhist festival of Paranirvana is similar to Easter. The room is full of candles. At a pre-arranged point, they are all extinguished, plunging the room into darkness. Then they are relit from one candle that has been kept lit outside the room. A physical return from darkness to light. The light is there when we cannot see it.
