"Time Patrol" opens with a four-line vacancy advertisement followed immediately by Manse Everard's point of view as he is interviewed for the job which will turn out to be with the Time Patrol.
The Dancer From Atlantis opens with Duncan Reid's point of view as he is on a cruise with his wife. Shortly, Reid will be pulled into the past by a malfunctioning time vehicle.
The Corridors Of Time opens with Malcolm Lockridge's point of view when the guard announces a visitor to his cell. The visitor will turn out to be a time traveller.
There Will Be Time opens with a Foreword in which the author directly addresses his readers. Chapter I opens with a first person narrator, Robert Anderson, recounting the circumstances of the birth of Jack Havig who, a while later, will turn out to be a mutant time traveller.
So: straight into the action with Everard, Reid and Lockridge but not with Havig.

Kaor, Paul!
Ha, I still remember how that confounded Foreword for THERE WILL BE TIME worried me for years and years! Anderson had me wondering if the book was based on actual facts. Which is a compliment to his skills as a writer.\
I first read THERE WILL BE TIME in 1972.
Ad astra! Sean
