The X-Men are mutants as are Anderson's Twilight Worlders, so to call them, and his Jack Havig.
Some superheroes are androids, others are men with special equipment and still others are magical or supernatural beings. We can find counterparts to most of these in Anderson's works.

Correct, albeit I think Anderson moved away from implausible notions of men and non-humans having super brains, mental psi powers, or other kinds of super powers.
