Stages Of A Future History

In Poul Anderson's Psychotechnic History:

"Gypsy" and "Entity" are set during early interstellar exploration;

"Gypsy," "Star Ship" and Virgin Planet are about isolated extra-solar colonies;

"The Acolytes" and "The Green Thumb" are about the early colonization of one planet, Nerthus;

Virgin Planet, "Teucan," "The Pirate," The Peregrine and "Symmetry" are set during a period of regular interstellar travel between colonized planets.

Obviously, there is overlap. In fact, the background of the two Nerthusian short stories implies that they are also set in that later period.

Kaor, Paul!

Not quite, what you said about "Star Ship." That story shows us an isolated human ENCLAVE stranded on a planet inhabited by non-humans.

Ad astra! Sean
