Psychology at the present day is hardly in a better state than physics in the time of Aristotle
-copied from JD Bernal, The Devil.
Possible Current Blog Agenda
(i) Continue to reread and to post about Poul Anderson's Technic History.
(ii) Finish reading JD Bernal's The World, The Flesh And The Devil both because it is uncommonly interesting and because it is relevent to Andersonian issues.
(iii) Reread what is said about the science of psychotechnics in Anderson's Psychotechnic History.
(iv) Reflect on the value of meditation as against any attempt to make psychology as precise as physics. See: A Science Of Humanity.
In fact, my reflection on meditation might just consist of continuing to meditate. In our "lineage," Soto Zen is called "serene reflection meditation."

Kaor, Paul!
I can't help but wonder if physics can truly be THAT precise. Books like Frank Tipler's THE PHYSICS OF CHRISTIANITY and Sean Carroll's SOMETHING DEEPLY HIDDEN could lead some of their readers to doubting that is the case.
Ad astra! Sean
