Innocence Repeated

Last night (see Innocence Forever Gone), I perpetrated repetition (see Innocence Forever Gone) but I don't think that it matters over that length of time, especially since slightly different points are made in each of the posts. The remarks express my reflections on the same passage at different times.

In recent posts, I have not addressed the specifics of "The Trouble Twisters" but instead have followed lines of thought arising from particular words or concepts in the story: "innocence"; "Karma"; "Empire"; simultaneity; social stability;"Earth." In fact, Poul Anderson's texts can take us just about anywhere. As usually happens, when I checked back, the list of "words or concepts" was longer than I had expected.

Remember, right here and now, we over-70s are still secluding ourselves but we can walk out in the country so will do that and, this evening, I will communicate electronically with a group of people that, only last week, I would have met face to face. Hopefully, also, more blogging. We live into an uncertain future, like sf characters.

Kaor, Paul!

And for the time being people who like going to chess clubs or playing poker should avoid doing so. I can at least play chess on my old Radio Shack chess computer!

Ad astra! Sean
