Poul Anderson, Orbit Unlimited, part one, 4.
Jan Svobova lands his aircar on the main deck of his sea dwelling and drives directly into the garage which opens and closes its door for him. Large waves roar among the caissons, sending their spume and spindrift over the house. Poor visibility conceals nearby houses. Inside, Svoboda hears:
gymbal mountings
gyrostabilizers
air conditioning
power plant
hooting wind
brawling ocean
Waves are gray, sky is low and the air is cold and wet although, driving directly into the building, he does not have to feel the air.

Kaor, Paul!
A very science fictional house, but not one I would really care to have!
