Returned from a drive to the country, I have Murder In Black Letter, as yet unread, as an ebook, and am still reading SM Stirling's The Sunrise Lands and rereading Ian Fleming's Casino Royale. Thus, it is certain that blogging will continue but uncertain what subject matter the next few posts will address.
Poul Anderson's other two detective novels featuring Trygve Yamamura showed evidence of having been written by an sf author and hinted at but did not confirm the supernatural. See here, here and here. I will be interested to check whether ...Black Letter is written along similar lines or instead differs significantly.

Kaor, Paul!
I look forward, with interest, to any comments you care to make about Anderson's MURDER IN BLACK LETTER. The Yamamura books were written so long ago by now that they will also be of interest as PERIOD pieces, glimpses of life in America, circa AD 1960. And of course I quoted from MURDER for my article "Sensory Deprivation."
