The Holms came to Avalon with Falkayn.
Ivar Holm worked in an Andromeda Rescue Station during the settlement of the Coronan continent.
Daniel Holm, Second Marchwarden of the Lauran System, becomes First Marchwarden with the death of Ferune of Mistwood Choth.
Despite his unhappiness at his son, Chris, joining Stormgate Choth, Daniel sky-hunts like an Ythrian.
Chris/Arinnian's marriage to Tabitha Falkyan/Hrill of Highsky Choth unites the Falkayn and Holm lines of descent.
Arinnian, able to translate between Planha and Anglic, contributes to The Earth Book Of Stormgate.
Although we want this family and planetary history to continue, we learn little of Avalon after the Terran War.

Kaor, Paul!
We do learn a bit more about the Domain of Ythri in THE DAY OF THEIR RETURN. Mostly about how, in the two centuries or more after the events seen in THE PEOPLE OF THE WIND, relations between the Domain and the Empire became downright cordial. Largely because the rise of the Roidhunate of Merseia, a great power dominated by a racist ideology hostile to all other races, so alarmed the Domain that the relatively trivial quarrels with the Empire were dismissed to enable it to ally with Terra against Merseia.

Kaor, Paul!
In Chapter 21 of THE DAY OF THEIR RETURN Ivar Frederiksen asked Commissioner Desai why the Doman of Yythri should help the Empire when the latter had defeated it in war and stripped it of some of its territory. Desai replied: "But that's far in the past, you see. The territory is long ago assimilated to us. Irredentism is idiocy. And Terra did not try to take over Ythri itself, or most of its colonies, in the peace settlement. Whatever the Empire's faults, and they are many, it recognizes certain limits to what it may wisely do. Merseia does not." And a bit later: "Because Terra and Ythri have an overwhelming common interest--peace, stability, containment of the insatiable aggressor.." even more clearly spells out why the Domain became an ally of the Empire.
And this continued to be Chunderban Dssai's twenty years later. Chapter III of A KNIGHT OF GHOSTS AND SHADOWS has him telling Dominic Flandry: "Beyond our borders, the Merseians are the true menace. Not a barbarian rabble merely filling a vacuum we have left by our own political machinations [e.g., "Tiger By Thge Tail" comes to mind]--not a realistic Ythri which sees us as its natural ally--not a pathetic Gorrazani remnant--but Merseia."
And, of course, the Merseian conspiracy being orchestrated by Aycharaych in THE DAY OF THEIR RETURN, an attempt to trigger a holy war, a JIHAD, which would rip the Empire apart, is all too painfully topical right now! TDOTR explicitly cites Islamic jihadism as a force which could topple ancient and powerful realms.
