A Circus Of Hells, CHAPTER SEVEN.
There have been a few references to wind on Wayland but I try not to quote every one, especially not when they are just descriptions of atmospheric conditions or weather, e.g.:
"'Thin air means high-velocity winds.'"
-FOUR, p. 224.
However, the following passage definitely belongs to our continuing literary theme of the wind as a commentator on the action:
"'So we're finished,' she mumbled.
"He sighed. 'The circumstances could be more promising. The big computer should've replied instantly to a distress call.' He paused. The wind blew, the stars jeered." (p. 244)
They will have to walk to the centrum, out in the open. What is the big computer doing?

Kaor, Paul!
And I think part of the problem was due to the Wayland AI becoming somewhat mentally stiffened, as was perhaps no surprise after centuries of isolation.
Ad astra! Sean
