The Origin Of Tree Worship

Dr Watson accidentally knocks down an old man's books which include The Origin of Tree Worship. (The old man will turn out to be the supposedly dead Sherlock Holmes in disguise.)

In the second hand bookshop which is a Time Patrol front, Manse Everard sees some recent acquisitions which look Victorian and include The Origin of Tree Worship.

Is this another obscure Holmesian reference by Poul Anderson?

Must run for the bus but I wanted to get this post in first.

Laterz.

I'd say it is. It's canonical that Holmes and Watson exist in the Time Patrol history -- they're directly mentioned in one of the early stories.

Sorry about that. I don't know why things like that happen.

The last few times that happened to me, it was because I cleared some 'cookies'. Signing in via Google the next time I made a comment kept my name showing up until did cleared cookies again.

Kaor, Mr. Stirling!

I do as Jim advised me, clear out cookies and browsing data from time to time so I can upload comments. If I can do that using my name, good, but I don't mind being Anonymous sometimes as long as I sign off with my name in the comment.

Ad astra! Sean (NOT Anonymous!)

Ah, I found the reason. I just click on the Google blip next to my name, scan down, and click "S.M. Stirling".
