Coya Conyon is Nicholas van Rijn's granddaughter and marries David Falkayn.
Tabitha Falkayn is a direct descendant of David and Coya Falkayn and marries Christopher Holm.
Diana Crowfeather is Dominic Flandry's daughter.
Wanda Tamberly is a niece of Stephen Tamberly of the Time Patrol. Wanda joins the Patrol and later begins a relationship with Manse Everard of the Patrol.
Thus, each of these four female characters enters her particular series - Technic History or Time Patrol - because of her relationship to a male character. However, each of these four characters also has independent adventures:
Coya becomes a free-lance computer programmer;
Tabitha wandered around Avalon, ran a commercial fishery with the Ythian, Draun, and helped to organize the defence of northern Oronesia;
Diana travels from Imhotep to Daedalus and across Daedalus with a land Starkadian and a Wodenite;
Wanda defended herself against a time-travelling Conquistador and worked solo in Beringia.

It's more accurate to say Wanda Tamberly only accidentally joined the Time Patrol because of being kidnapped by that Conquistador, Don Luis. It's highly unlikely she would ever have known the Patrol even existed except for that.

Sean: true. It was that or mind-wipe her, and she turned out to be potentially useful to the Patrol, so...

I agree. Or alternatively, she could have been mentally blocked and made unable to ever mention/speak about the Patrol.
But couldn't that mental blocking had been evaded if, for example, Don Luis had written about his adventures with the Patrol and left the document to be found by whoever he wanted to inform?
