A Certain Amount Of Repetition

Sometimes I post about a passage in a Poul Anderson text, then check and find that I have already posted about it. At other times, I avoid such repetition by checking first. When a passage contains what I regard as a massive problem in time travel logic, I am bound to have posted about it previously. On the present occasion, we find four previous posts:
