Presumably a time traveller who travels on a timecycle is a timecyclist? A cycle and its rider occupy a single set of spatiotemporal coordinates. The cyclist enters destination coordinates on the control panel and presses go. Cycle and rider disappear at one set of coordinates and appear at another or sometimes just disappear.
Manse Everard and Piet Van Sarawak:
disappear at the Pleistocene lodge;
do not appear at their destination, New York 1960;
reappear at the lodge half an hour after departure;
take steps to ensure that travellers do reach their destinations.
That is all that happens in the timeline guarded by the Patrol.
